"So what muscles do pushups build? There's a couple styles of pushups. If I have my hands in narrower than my shoulders and I keep my elbows into my sides, I'm really working more of my tricep muscle. If, however, I keep my hands wider than shoulder width apart and when I go down, my elbows are out more, I'm going to be working more muscles in my chest and my shoulders. So if you want to get the most out of pushups and upper body strength training, you can do narrow grip pushups as well as pushups with a wider grip, and you'll find that you just get a little better overall muscle development. For more information on this, you can contact me at brilliantathlete.com."
