Hi this is Zephyr Clarke-Dolberg with Miami Dog Training in Miami, Florida. In this clip we're going to talk about what is a dog training collar. There's a few different types, there's actually more than a more, there's a lot, but we're going to cover these three. This is a pronged collar. This is used for, this is a smaller one for smaller dogs, tough little smaller dogs, but a lot of times these actually can be more effective than anything else because it simulates a dog's teeth, alright? Kind of simulates a dog's teeth so it gives them a correction that they would be used to feeling from another dog. This is a soft nylon choker and it could be used for dogs that have trachea problems or smaller dogs that, or dogs that just respond to very, very little stimulation. Used the same way as your standard choker here, right, we always put this on the dog's neck, we want to read P. And the same thing goes for this chain, standard metal slip chain. We still want to read P when we're slipping it over the dog's neck just like this, alright? So this is your standard training collar, there are a few more, there's some fitted collars and another collar called a Martingale which is pretty much this with instead of prongs, a piece of nylon.
