"This is financial adviser Patrick Munro talking about how to check share prices. Every day, when the market opens at 9:30 in the morning and, of course, throughout the day and until it close at four o'clock in the afternoon, share prices are available in a real-time basis. Some of the best charts exist online to do this. Many of the financial websites at Yahoo!, AOL, money...CNN Money can do this. Of course, one of my favorite is bigcharts.com. It's a great way to check real-time on how your share prices are going. And at that point, you can then decide whether to buy or, indeed, to sell stock, depending on what you want to achieve in your investment goal. Having the right data is so important and so it's important to have a fall-back plan on how to check your prices in case one of the formats is not up because if stocks are in a move violently upwards or violently downwards, you need to have a plan B if one of your systems goes down. This is Patrick Munro, financial adviser, talking about how to check share prices."
