This is financial adviser Patrick Munro talking about what are the best companies to invest in. The best companies to invest in depend on you as the investor and your risk tolerance and what your goals for investing are. The best companies to invest in, if you're a safe money investor are those companies that are well capitalized and have been around for a long time. Those companies for instance that are involved in household goods somewhat boring in nature, Johnson & Johnson, General Mills, Coca-Cola, Disney these companies have been around for a long time, everyone knows they have brand recognition but, it's kind of yesterdays news but, their going to be there for the long term so if you buy a share of the company there's a good chance that 20, 30 years from now that it is going to be there. But if your goals are more aggressive you may want to go after a merging stocks. Stocks that no one has heard of but, have huge upside potential. These particular companies can provide you with the equivalent of the lottery if you hit it right but, they can also lose you principle going forward so make sure you know your risk tolerance and that will tell you what the best companies are to invest in.
