Hi, I'm Koorosh Angali with angali.com. I'm going to give some tips as to what is mixed media art. Generally speaking, if we use different mediums, oil, acrylic, collage, that means cutting out from pictures or from magazines and put them together, practically, we are dealing with a mixed media. On top of that we also can use objects. Use barbed wire, use buttons. Use anything within the same art and on the same art, and, let's say, within the same canvas or even three dimensional objects in artwork, that's mixed media. For instance, in this canvas, basically what I've done, I've used acrylic paint, then I've used cut outs from post cards, put them together, painted some more on top of that, and I used two, three different mediums that could, at some other occasions, be used individually, to create an art. When you put them together, that means you're creating a mixed media art.
