Hi, this is Yolanda Vanveen and in this segment we're going to talk about how prune brandywine tomatoes. Well, tomatoes will grow and they'll produce tomato fruit for you whether you prune them or not but by just taking the time to prune them back a bit, you'll find that you'll get even larger more lush tomatoes and the rule of thumb is to never prune more than one third of the plant at a time. So, every three brunches just trim one branch out and you'll find that it will get much fuller and then the flowers will produce even better tomatoes because they're not using all their energy on the other stems. So, kind of zigzag it and don't actually prune on the same side as the other side. So, if you're pruning every second and go every third branch on the other side and then just by trimming a couple of the branches out of your tomatoes, you'll find that they will grow so much better and you'll get even better tomatoes.
