"There are different ways to charge a camera battery, depending on what type of battery you have. Some of them have memory and some of them don't. In other words, you have to make sure on some batteries that the battery is actually completely drained before you put it on the charger to charge it up. Now these days, these days with the newer technology most batteries are smart batteries, you can get digital batteries. As a matter of fact, I have here a digital battery and as you can see it has an LCD type of display on it in which it will actually show you when the battery is juiced. So with this battery we can just throw it on the charger, let it do its thing, and it will tell us when it's ready. And with the particular charger that I happen to have it will actually maintain the battery and not overcharge the battery as well. So, simple way to charge a battery is just to simply put it on the charger."
