"Hi I'm Ben from the Cellphone Broker in San Jose, California. Today I'm going to show you, how to get your own cell phone number. The first thing that you do when you get a cell phone, is they usually give you a cell phone number that goes along with it. However, a lot of people want to have a cool number that's easy for other people to remember, if they have business, they want to be able to advertise that type of, you know, vanity number if you will. When you want to get your own vanity number, you're usually given a list, or shown a list when you go into the cell phone store, or when you buy a cell phone online. And, they'll usually have about ten or twenty numbers that you can choose from. However, if you want a special number, you need to tell the store representative that you want to try to get a vanity number. Let's say for example you want a number that ends with all 5's. So 5555, you need to ask them if that's available, and they usually have some sort of search engine or database where they can pull that up. Sometimes some carriers or providers will charge an extra fee if you want to get a vanity number. So it's usually just better to just choose one of the numbers that they have available on that list.
