"Hello, I'm Roger Groh with Groh Asset Management. Thank you very much for spending a few minutes with me. Today we're here to talk about Oppenheimer, specifically the mutual funds that they offer that you the investor can put your own money into. Oppenheimer is a long standing business that has done a pretty good job of sticking to their disciplines. They offer the gamut from stock funds to bond funds to other funds such as commodity funds. In addition, I'm sure that they can help you locate companies even outside of Oppenheimer that could improve the performance of your portfolio. Like all funds, you should be very aware of what you are buying before you do it, you should look carefully at who manages the fund and whether or not the longer term history still represents that same portfolio manager. Over the longer term, Oppenheimer has done a great job of continuing to stick with their bind discipline that they had told you about. Meaning if they said that they were going to buy stock, they buy stock. If they said they were going to buy growth companies they bought growth companies. If they said they were going to buy real estate, they bought real estate. But it doesn't mean that those prices can't go down, they will. One of the things to consider like all funds is how do they do during the last bad stock market? If the stock market went down 50%, how much did the fund go down? You have to think that the next time the stock market goes down, the value of your portfolio will decline that much also. I hope this helps. I'm Roger Groh and that's a little bit about Oppenheimer Funds. Thank you for spending a few minutes with me."
