"Hi my name is Veronica Baragas with mywigglesandgiggles.com and I would like to share with you a little bit about what are adult day care centers? So an adult day care center basically is a lot like a child care center. Basically they are offering services to adults who can no longer manage independently or are isolated and lonely. There are over 4,000 adult day care centers nation wide so you know they have them all over, they're just not, they have anywhere from privately owned to public, nonprofit or to profit adult day care centers. They are usually open Monday through Friday and they offer meals, companionship, things like that. It is good for socializing and a lot of the times it is just a great way for them to be able to get out and not be isolated in their own home or maybe they need some assistance with health care and what not but it is definitely a great alternative to I guess you could say like a nursing home or what not."
