Hi my name is Veronica Baragas with mywigglesandgiggles.com and I would like to share with you a few different jobs at day cares. So we're going to start from the top and go with your director who usually regulates and oversees your day to day operations and a lot of times they may have like an assistant of some sort who kind of just helps like it could be the receptionist, takes care of and meets and greets families and any concerns that they may have. Then you have your teachers who usually are in the classrooms and are most of the time given a certain classroom already so they kind of know their children things like that. You have teacher's aides or assistants as well and a lot of times they can be floaters who kind of just kind of help with any type of duties that are required whether it is filling in for a teacher who may need some type of break or maybe they are assisting with projects, helping outside so the floaters or assistants can have a wide range of duties and you have I guess you could call it grounds keeper, housekeeper or custodian of some sort who is basically going to you know sanitize and help with the cleaning of the facility, making sure we have all the proper supplies for sanitation and things like that. They may do ground keeping as far as keeping up with the playground and making sure that everything is up to code and then you know, last but not least a lot of times we have volunteers so it may not be a job but a lot of the times centers do depend on parent volunteers and things like that so you know whether you are from a director to the grounds keeper or volunteer all of them are very important and everybody is an essential part of making sure that we offer quality services and that we have a smooth day.
