"Hi. My name is Veronica Baragas with MyWigglesandGiggles.com and I'd like to share with you how to start a day care service. Now there are so many different ways you could go about doing this. Two of the ways I would or the top two ways I would recommend would be first check with your department of family and protective services. Usually you're required to attend an orientation and they will give you pretty much the oversight of everything that you possibly would need in order to register and get licensed with your state in order to open a center. And second I would try your, you know, local book store to pick up any type of books that would help you kind of give you, you know, the basics and overall needs for a daycare center. This is one I personally picked up and really liked. Its Startup, start your own child care service. And it covers a wide range whether you want to do full time, drop in care, mother's day out programs. Or what kind of child care specific to your needs is. So definitely look with your department of family protective services or pick up a book at your local book store that can help you and give you actual forms and check lists that you may need and the start up process."
