"Hi my name is Veronica Baragas with mywigglesandgiggles.com and I would like to share with you a little bit about governing boards for day care centers. So basically the only type of governing I guess you could say would be your state which offers you your minimum standards. They regulate whether you can operate and they do all the inspections they do their weekly, I'm sorry monthly visits, yearly visits and whatnot depending on what scale you are on. Usually they provide you with your minimum standard rules for licensed child care centers and I guess you can say this is pretty much like the Bible for your center. It usually tells you everything possible needed, rules and regulations, all the above, any questions that you have will definitely be here in this book so I say the only governing board would be your state that you decide to get registered or get licensed with. I mean on a smaller scale you can decide you know, who your advisers would be like your CPA or your lawyer or any other professionals that you would look to for advice so other than the state it is pretty much up to you on who you would want to use as part of helping with governing and what not for your center."
