Hi. My name is Rebecca, and I'm here at Encore Gymnastics with Virgina. And we're here to tell you a little bit more about jumping rope to loose weight. First we're going to start out with the form of jumping rope. So we want to make sure that our elbows are nice and lifted in. And our wrists are held tight. When we jump rope, we want to concentrate on more of the wrist action, and not so much the whole arm moving. The best way to loose weight when you're jumping rope, is the cardiovascular exercise that you get from jumping rope. So, the most important thing is to get your heart rate up. We can start by going maybe five minutes a day, which is quite a long time when you are jumping rope. And if you can increase that to ten, or fifteen, even twenty minutes a day, you can even run with the exercise, so if you have space in your yard or space in your living room to run, you can run through. And we can, we can go from that exercise with the feet together, and go from the running position, and that also keeps the heart rate nice and high, and the weight loss, keep the weight loss going. So, that is how to jump rope to lose weight.
