"Well, students can obtain dental insurance through their parents plan if their parents have some sort of dental insurance. They may be able to be added to that plan at a fairly affordable or low cost, otherwise they would have to go and seek out these sort of dental plans on their own which could be fairly expensive. Typically, about a hundred dollars a month, depending on your deductible, the amount of overall coverage, what type of plan you have. So for dental insurance, you won't have to obtain any sort of health exam or records, although if you do have a pre-existing condition such as a crown that you're in need of, often times you won't be able to go out and buy insurance for a hundred dollars and then go have this expensive three thousand dollar surgery the next day and have it all covered. They might have exclusionary periods of three months, six months or a year where you can't have any major type of dental operations within that period of time."
