"Hi, I'm Donna Barnes, I'm a life and relationship coach and the owner of NY Dating Coach in New York City. In this clip we'll talk about what is the meaning of courtship. And courtship is what dating is now but it was the original version of dating. And I actually like the term because it means let's slow it down a little bit, it sounds a little bit more old fashioned and I think today people are in too much of a hurry, everything is immediate with instant messaging and everything else, everything is fast, fast, fast, fast, fast, fast. So courtship means let's get to know each other, let's take our time and really date. Go out and do things together and really take the time to get to know each other and enjoy each other. Do romantic things. Maybe go take a little boat ride if you have a rowboat on Central Park if you live in New York or go take a pony ride or just anything, do something romantic that will let you get to know each other a little bit and not make it all about like hooking up and getting right to the chase. So courtship is a little bit more old fashioned. Try it. This is Donna Barnes from New York City."
