You may have watched some legal programs on television or read about some high priced lawyers in the newspaper or in magazines and you've decided gee, I think I'm going to become a lawyer, they make so much money. Hello, I'm Robert Todd and I'm here to answer the question how much do lawyers make. Well the answer to that question is going to depend on which lawyer we're talking about, where are they located, that type of practice do they have. Generally speaking, the highest paid lawyers practice in the largest cities in the United States such as the large law firms in New York City. If you are a partner in a large law firm in New York City, some of those lawyers can make as much as several million dollars a year. However, if you are a sole practitioner practices in general law in the middle of Arkansas, you may not make nearly as much as two million dollars a year. So it's really going to depend on what type of practice you're in, how large the law firm is, what location you're in and variables of that nature. It can generally be said you can make as much as you want to make and as hard as you want to work as a lawyer. I'm Robert Todd and thank you for watching.
