You would like to become a United States citizen, but you don't know where to turn or where to begin the process. Hello, I'm Robert Todd, and I'm here to answer the question: How to become a United States citizen. Well, perhaps, the first place to start is to go to the website for the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services, abbreviated U-C-I-S. They have a website. And on this website, you can basically follow the entire process of either becoming a United States citizen or a legal immigrant or some other status. The first thing you want to do is go on the website and see if you understand the terminology and if you can understand the step-by-step process. The entire format is laid out for you, but if you do not feel comfortable with the terminology or you do not understand the process or procedure, we strongly urge you to seek the services of a certified lawyer that deals with immigration and naturalization. It will be well-worth your money and effort. I'm Robert Todd, and thank you for watching.
