"Hi I'm Dr. Carol Clark. I'm a sex therapist and licensed mental health counselor here in Miami, Florida. In this clip we're going to talk about the types of STD's or sexually transmitted diseases. And there's two basic types, viral and bacterial. Viral STD's are viruses which are incurable so viruses need to be prevented from getting into our bodies because we're not going to get rid of them once they're there. Bacterial STD's are very easily transmitted the same way we transmit any kind of bacteria from body to body, and they are curable with antibiotics. Although, these days as people are building up more and more resistance to antibiotics these could become more serious in the future. Once again this is Dr. Carol Clark from Miami, Florida."
