"Hi, I'm Doctor Carol Clark, I'm a Sex Therapist and Licensed Mental Health Counselor here in Miami, Florida. In this clip, we're going to talk about the symptoms of oral herpes. Herpes is a virus that is transmitted either orally or genitally, and when we see oral herpes, we're going to see a blister or a cold sore. Sometimes their called canker sores and most kids have had them at various times. Their not only sexually transmitted, there's different types of herpes virus and there's the non-genital and there's the oral and canker sores or cold sores are very common to most of the population. They still can be transmitted through kissing, through any kind of oral/sexual activity, and it can be passed back and forth. What we're going to see is that open sore either inside of the mouth or around the lips and it needs to be treated and not touched by anything during this time until it's gone. Once again this is Doctor Carol Clark from Miami, Florida."
