"Hi, I'm Dr. Carol Clark. I'm a Sex Therapist and License Mental Health Counselor here in Miami, Florida. In this clip we're going to talk about natural ways to prevent pregnancy. Many people for whatever reasons, either personal or religious, want to use natural ways to prevent pregnancy rather than some kind of artificial means such as hormones or barrier method. So natural methods include using a calendar to track your temperature, what we call basal body temperature and track the thickness of the cervical mucus, sounds interesting. What you're going to need is a calendar and you're going to keep the calendar for about three months and you're going to track your menstrual, menstrual cycles and find out when your cycle goes; whether it's 28 days, 25 days, 32 days 'cause every woman is different. You're going to keep track of your temperature, that means taking your temperature everyday at the same time everyday. And then you're going to test the mucus inside your vagina and that means putting your fingers in there, pulling out some mucus and feeling how thick it is and then charting the thickness on a daily basis. Once again, this is Dr. Carol Clark from Miami, Florida."
