"Hi, I'm Dr. Carol Clark. I'm a sex therapist and licensed mental health counselor here in Miami, Florida. In this clip we're going to talk about how to have intercourse during pregnancy. A lot of people are concerned about this because of course once a woman is pregnant she doesn't want anything to harm her child, nor does the father. And there's a couple of concerns here. One is that the penis is going perilously close to the uterus where the baby is residing and the other is a psychological issue that men seem to develop about having sex with a woman who is carrying their child, having their penis that close to the baby. So the psychological issue is one that people need to discuss and possibly seek a professional to discuss it with. As far as just the mechanics of having sex with a pregnant woman, women can have sex pretty safely up until the ninth month. Certainly, consult your doctor. It's a matter of position, and it's up to the partners to discuss what is comfortable for them and for the woman to guide the positions used and the activities they're engaged in. Once again, this is Dr. Carol Clark from Miami, Florida."
