Hi, I'm Ben from the Cellphone Broker in San Jose, California. Today I'm going to show you how to recognize different Blackberry devices. There's a lot of Blackberries available on the market today. And then, have been available in the past. And it's best to pick out, what's going to work best for you. When you, when you go to the cellphone store. So do some research. Go to And you can check out the different Blackberry devices that are available. But right now, I'm going to give you a quick overview on some of the devices that are available right now. So the first one we have here is a Blackberry 7200 series. this one has a full keyboard. It does not have any scrolling mechanism in the middle. Like you are familiar with, with Blackberries. Most of them have a small ball or something here in the middle that you can scroll with. This one has a track ball over here on the side. Which allows you to scroll through the menu options. This one also does not have a camera. The camera was not introduced until later. The second one we have is the blackberry 8700 series. This was a really popular model in business use. This one also does not have a camera. But it does have a loud speaker phone. Right here on the back. This also has the same situation with the track ball on the side. But it does have a couple more keys on the front. That make it easier to navigate. It has an in call and receive call button right here. And also a select key right here in the middle. Which the 7200 series does not have. The screen is also a little bit brighter on this one. This one has a pretty, the 7200 series has a pretty plain screen. The 8700 series has a little bit bolder, more colorful screen. Then we have the Blackberry Pearl models. The only thing that I don't like about these models, is that they do not have the full keyboard. They have a you know, a little thing called Sure Type. sure Type has two letters per key. Which means to type, it uses predictive text. So it predicts what you're going to say. So if I'm not typing my name. B, E, N, it's going to type in N, R and then B again. And then it'll kind of reverse that into my name. This one does have a 1.3 mega pixel camera on the 8100 series. This is a Blackberry Pearl 8100 series. 1.3 mega pixel camera with flash. The newer models which would be the 8120 or the 8130. Also have a 2 mega pixel camera. So it's a little bit better quality. This one also has a pretty small size compared to the 8700 or the 7200 series. So it is a little bit more compact and easy to carry around. The next one up that we have and the most popular right now, is the Blackberry Curve. Blackberry 8300 series Curve. This one is pretty much the same as the Pearl in terms of features that it has. Except, it has a little bit wider screen. Which makes it easier to read messages. And it also has a full keyboard. This one has a two mega pixel camera with video camera. As well as flash. Which is a pretty good resolution for a phone. It also has a full 3.5 millimeter head set jack. Which is pretty much the same as what you have on your iPod. So you don't have to buy any sort of special headsets to use with this one. It has a regular jack on it. Hi, I'm Ben from the Cellphone Broker in San Jose, California.
