Hi, my name is Charlotte Skiles. I'm a nutrition consultant and clinical herbalist with Eat in Peace Wellness Consulting located in Austin, Texas. And right now I'm going to talk to you about what is the cabbage soup diet. The cabbage soup diet is a very extreme diet. So basically you eat a specific recipe for cabbage soup for seven days straight. Now I'm going to read you the ingredients in this soup. So we have six large green onions, two green peppers, one or two cans of tomatoes, three carrots, a container of mushrooms, a bunch of celery, a head of cabbage, finally there we go with the cabbage, a package of Liptons soup mix, one to two cubes of bouillon which is optional, and a forty eight ounce of V8 which is also optional. And then you season it to your liking. So seven days of eating that soup straight, I am not so sure of the positive benefits there but I guess quite possibly if you were to live, you know I'm not sure that you could go live your daily life I guess is my concern and eat like that. If you could take a week off work, lay back, have some cabbage soup all day for seven days and give your body a chance to rest, that could be very healing. But to keep putting your body in to a stressful situation day after day and to not nourish yourself properly, and instead eat this cabbage soup, that can get a little tricky. But that's all I have to say about the cabbage soup diet.
