Hi, my name is Charlotte Skiles. I'm a nutrition consultant and clinical herbalist, with Eat in Peace Wellness Consulting, located in Austin, Texas, and today, I'm going to talk to you about vitamins and how they help your body, so vitamins help your body, because vitamins are a key to all of the chemical processes that occur in our system, that basically metabolism requires them, and of course, if we don't have certain vitamins, then that part of the metabolism falters, so they're huge, but even more importantly than vitamins, and the role that they play in chemical reactions, and the enzymes going on in our system, are minerals. Most people are much more mineral deficient, than they are vitamin deficient. Vitamin gets all of this attention, but in reality, we evolve from the sea, and we used to live a lot closer to the water, than we typically do, and we all know that the salt water contains a vast array of minerals, and so, they are also key to a healthy metabolism in the body, and I just want to mention that, in lieu of the vitamin conversation, so yeah, you are what you eat, and vitamins create our, once again, our structure and function in our body, so that we can be at our fullest self expression, and things work properly, so that's how vitamins help your body.
