"Hi, my name is Charlotte Skiles, I'm a nutrition consultant and clinical herbalist with Eat in Peace Wellness Consulting located in Austin, Texas and today's topic is acai berry products. So the acai is a berry from the Amazon and the way it's given in this country in terms of products is it's powdered or it's emulsified and then frozen and made into kind of, you can take it then and make it into a smoothie. It's found in the frozen foods sections of the grocery store. And the reason why they have to go through that processing is because acai berry actually has an unusual amount of fat in it and heat, light and oxygen damage fats. They just degrade quickly so the acai berry has to go through this processing. So those are the various products on the market, powder or in the frozen section and that's all I have to say about the acai berry products."
