"Hi, are you concerned about those stretch marks on your legs? My name is Keeley Selvage, with Keeley's Skin Solutions. I've been a clinical aesthetician for over half a decade, and I'm going to talk to you about how to get rid of those stretch marks on your legs. Now, some experts say that it's not possible to get rid of them. The reason for that is because stretch marks occur in the middle layer of the skin, the dermis. Over-the-counter stretch mark creams do not reach the dermis, so the most that they're doing is making the surface of your skin soft. What you can do though is go to a physician or a clinical aesthetician and get a prescription cream; something with acidified amino acids or Retin-A, and those are going to reach the dermis, stimulate circulation, bring blood to the area, and help in the healing process. They're going to do best when your stretch marks are still a little bit pink. What I'm going to show you to today is a nice scrub that you can do at home that's going to help the exfoliation of the stretch marks. Exfoliation, like I said it brings blood to the area which encourages healing, and it's going to stimulate circulation and cell renewal. Now, what I have here is just some raw sugar and a little bit of almond oil. Now, you want to do this at least twice a week in the shower, cause' it can kind of be messy, and I'll talk to you about some of the more effective ways of stretch mark removal. You can have laser removal of them. Of course, it's not a hundred percent, but it does help, but one of the most effective ways is a dermafile, which is a form of a microderm abrasion or a microdermabrasion, and that has really proven to be the most effective way. Again, it's not completely a hundred percent, but it will help to diminish the appearance of your stretch marks. Start as early as you can when those stretch marks are still pink, and you'll see the best results from that. But for the most part learn to love yourself. Those little marks are character, and probably even tell a story. My name is Keeley Selvage, with Keeley's Skin Solutions, and that is how you get rid of stretch marks on your legs."
