"Hi, I'm Erica. I'm in Salt Lake City, Utah, and I'm going to talk to you how to get enough sleep when you have a newborn. One of the easiest ways is to have the mother sleep when the baby sleeps -- that way, the baby sleeps usually quite a while during the day or during the night, whenever their sleep schedule habits are. But sleep when they sleep. Also, if you have family members or a husband or anyone that is helping you with the baby, you can ask them to take care of the baby or listen for them so that you can sleep longer. And just try to get the baby on a regular sleep schedule so if you are awake and the baby's kind of awake, try to stimulate them and keep them awake for a certain amount of time. That way, at night or when you want them to sleep, they'll sleep longer. Also, you can have...you can have the baby sleep in a bassinet or one of the crib side that you can slide up against your bed and have the baby sleep right next to you. That way, if the baby does cry or wake up, you don't have to get up and walk into the nursery and get the baby. You can have the baby right there. And always ask for help. If you are having a hard time sleeping or you are too tired, always ask for help."
