So the purpose of the FAFSA is to determine if you qualify for federal loans and for federal grants. So it's very important to complete the FAFSA. It also determines, helps the school determine whether or not you qualify for scholarships through them as well as other organizations using it to see if they, if you qualify for scholarship. What the FAFSA helps schools to know is what your financial aid need is. So when you complete this application, you will be entering in information on your most recent tax returns as well as your parent's tax returns if you are a dependent student.
