"Hi my name is Brooke Kramer and I'm a financial aid officer at Argosy University and today we're talking about managing your student account. Now there is multiple ways you can manage your student account and the first thing is to determine how much your total cost of attendance is going to be at a university. This way you can predetermine how much you are going to really need when you start classes. The second thing is to once you start classes, to keep track of how much you are spending each month and you can do this by using an Excel spreadsheet on line or just keeping a folder at home that keeps all of your documentation in it including billing statements from the schools, billing statements from your lender, and also any lender information you might have of who your current student loans are going through. If you're not sure what your current loans are at the time you decide to start tracking your student accounts you can go on line to www.nslds.com and this website will allow you to look up what current student federal loans you have out there right now and who they are with so you can keep track of your loans, you can keep track of how much you are paying out monthly and it is a very good idea just so you know where you are at.
