Okay, hi, I'm Tim Gipson. I'm going to talk to you about how long vinyl siding will last. Now, one of the nice things about vinyl siding is that it is a low maintenance type of siding that will last, in most cases, a very long time. A lot of the colorants that they're using, and since all your vinyl siding in solid color, you don't have some of the wear problems that you run into as far as the sun fade, and, you know, color that you might see in, like, aluminum siding, or a painted siding or lap-board siding, which has a surface coat on that which can weather and change colors over a period of time. So vinyl siding is really a nice product as far as how long it lasts. Now, as far as how long it will last really depends on certain factors, certainly environmental factors but also in the manufacturing of it. And just like many things, vinyl siding comes in various grades. And, so really to determine how long your vinyl siding's going to last really depends on the type of grade. You may have a really basic type of vinyl siding, which may only have a ten year warranty. You could have a vinyl siding that has a fifty year warranty, or anywhere in between. So, really, how long your vinyl siding lands on the grade of vinyl that is used, how heavy that vinyl is, and then how harsh your environmental conditions are that you live in. But, for most practical purposes, you're looking at a product that is designed to be very cost-effective, be low maintenance, and to last for many, many years. So I'm Tim Gipson with how long vinyl siding will last.
