"Hi, I'm Rachel Yatuzis and I'm going to show you how to remove hairspray from a curling iron. The quickest and easiest way that you do it using you know, products from your house is to get some rubbing alcohol. Actually, first, first and foremost, unplug the curling iron. Then get some rubbing alcohol. Put it on a paper towel, or napkin and rub the curling iron with it. Of course you want the curling iron to be cool first. You don't want to be rubbing a hot curling iron. And since you know, curling irons are made out of metal, there's really not much that can hurt 'em. If that doesn't work, you may have to use some Goof Off or Goo Gone or you know, any type, any one of those products, but the rubbing alcohol should work unless it's been caked on there since the eighties. I'm Rachel Yatuzis and that is how you remove hairspray from a curling iron."
