Cleaning a plastic dog crate is best done by taking it apart, setting it in a bath tub of water and scrubbing down the surface using any dish soap. Allow the dog crate to air dry in the bath tub, or dry the surface by hand using towels, with advice from a professional house cleaner in this free video on housekeeping.

Hi I'm Rachel Yatuzis, and I'm going to show you how to clean a plastic dog crate. If it's cold outside or you don't want to be in the mud, you want to do it in your bath tub. Make sure your bath tub is big enough obviously and set your dog crate in there. Before you set it in there you want to take it apart, they'll be little knobs and switches where you can take it apart (oops, it looks like I missed two). After you do that you want to just fill your tub up. I would use dish soap and water, fill it up and get it nice and bubbly, and just grab a sponge and scrub it. After you clean the inside of it very well you want to turn it over and clean the outside. Then sit it up and let it dry. You can either towel dry it by hand or just leave it sitting in the bath tub and let it air dry. And it's that simple. I'm Rachel Yatuzis, and that's how you clean a plastic dog crate.
