"Hi, I'm Stephanie, from stephanieknaturals.com, and I'm going to show you how to make sampaguita perfume. Now, sampaguita is actually a plant called Jasminum Sambac, and this is one of the plants. It goes by many names. It's called jasmine or Arabian jasmine, or sampaguita, or in Hawaii, pikake. It's a beautiful little flower, and it smells wonderful. Unfortunately, my plant is not blooming right now, but I'm going to show you the same technique, that you will use with some different plants. I'm going to use rose petals. What you're going to want to have, is a small glass jar, large enough to fit the number of flowers that you have on hand, and you'll also need Everclear, which is very high proof alcohol. The alcohol is going to absorb the essential oils that create the scent, out of your flowers, and so what you want to do, is you'll pack this jar full of the flowers, that you have on hand, and pour just enough Everclear over them to cover. Then, you're going to set this aside, let it set for 24-48 hours, and after that, you're going to filter out the plant material, using a coffee filter. Then, you have the leftover alcohol solution, that is called a tincture, and if it is not very strongly scented, you can repeat the process, and pour this solution, this tincture, over some new flowers, to strengthen your perfume, and when you have it to your desired strength, you can use that as a perfume by itself, or you can add other tinctures, and other aromatics, like essential oils, to have your finished perfume."
