Hi, I'm Stephanie from stephanieknaturals.com. I'm going to show you how to make a perfume from vodka. What you want to add to your vodka is essential oil. This is the distilled essence of the plant. All the scent molecules from the plant reside in this oil. So purchase some essential oils and you'll start blending. What you want to have is at least one essential oil from each of these categories. You want a base note, a middle note or heart note and a top note. Base notes will be the longest lasting, then the middle notes will be the heart of the perfume and the top notes will be the notes that lift off the first but it's also the first thing you smell. So when you put the three together you'll have a nice dynamic perfume. So we'll start by blending base notes and the middle notes and the top notes. And count the drops when you add them together. I'm going to use ten drops each of each of the oils. Now write these down so that you'll be able to recreate your perfume later and count the amount of vodka you're going to add to your essential oils. So, I have a total of thirty drops. So, I'm going to multiply thirty by four so that I'll have a twenty percent concentration of my drops and eighty percent of the vodka. So I'll have a hundred and twenty drops of vodka to add the thirty drops of the essential oil that I've put in here. So, once you've put these together, you're going to want to let this sit for about twenty four hours and that will let the oils melt in to the alcohol and then at this point you can smell it, evaluate it and adjust by adding more of the oils that you like to make the scent how you would like it. And then let this sit for about a month or two for it to fully mature because it can change a little more and then you'll have a final perfume. Then you can bottle it in your favorite bottle and you'll have a wonderful perfume to enjoy that you've made by hand.
