"This is John Pinelli, Financial representative, talking to you today about accidental death and dismemberment insurance. Accidental death and dismemberment provides you or your family a benefit in case of an accidental death or dismemberment. This would include things such as auto accidents. Dismemberments could include things like losing a finger, losing an arm, losing a leg. Those sort of things that would lead to a permanent disability. These insurance can, insurance policies can be purchased in addition to, or to supplement life insurance policies or disability policies, but typically they don't involve things like a suicide, naturally caused illnesses, terminal illnesses, things of that nature which are not accidental, thus the name accidental death and dismemberment.
