"Hi, my name is Reka Morvay. I'm a psychologist, and I'm going to talk to you today about how to carry a conversation. Conversational skills, like many other skills in life, improve with practice. So, if you find that you're not happy with your conversational skills, then, perhaps you need to get out there and just throw yourself out there and try to get as much practice as possible. First, try to find people that you feel comfortable with, and topics that you feel comfortable about, and topics that you're interested in. And, carry on a conversation with people about these topics that you're interested in. And slowly you will learn to read people's reactions and responses. You will see when people are animated and looking at you, and smiling, that they are probably very interested. If they, you know, they have this glazed look on their face and they're talking slowly, and they're not really looking at you, then they're probably distracted and they're not so interested. And you can use these clues or you can use these signals to kind of moderate what you are saying and try to find a more interesting topic of conversation."
