"Hi, my name is Bill Rae. I'm a licensed insurance agent and today's question is, "How to become a licensed health insurance broker?" That's a great question and one I hope you're seriously contemplating. In today's market, we are losing too many good people due to retirement and not enough people are looking at this field as a rewarding career. But as a health insurance broker, generally, in most states, you're going to be required to pass a very rigid course. In the state of Florida, I can tell you it requires forty hours. Now that can be done at night on the computer or on weekends. It's rewarding and it's worth it. After that, states require that you pass a comprehensive test. All you're required to do is pass, and once you do, you will enter a world where you can really get out and help people, explain what the contracts are, simplify so that they can understand. Being a health insurance broker is a rewarding field if you are willing to do what it takes and are willing to commit. My name is William Rae. I am proud to say I have been in the field for well over two decades."
