"Good afternoon my name is Tom Brintezenhofe, Certified Master Mechanic from Redding, Pennsylvania and today we are going to talk about how to ruin a car. The easiest way I can tell you how to ruin a car or not ruin a car and the biggest factor that plays in this is your vehicle maintenance. If you don't change your oil at 3 to 5,000 miles if you are running synthetics you know at least every 10 and that is a good way to ruin your vehicle. Lack of maintenance alone is a sheer killer on every car. If you don't have your brakes checked regularly, get the oil changed regularly and your filters changed that's a quick killer right there, that will ruin your car within the first 30,000 miles. The second thing would probably be to abuse, you are constantly wide open throttle going down to the highway, fast stops, about 110 miles an hour down the highway, it's hell on a car and that's probably the second quickest way of ruining your car but other than that just take care of the car, do all of your maintenance when it is scheduled to do, try not to abuse your car too much and hopefully you won't ruin it."
