Hi, I'm Kelli. I'm an aesthetician and makeup artist at Ulta Salon and Cosmetics, and I'm going to give you some tips on how you can get rid of back acne scars. One of the easiest things you can do is actually treat the acne before it becomes a scar. This is a clarifying body spray. It actually has a 360 degree spray so you can treat it at any angle, and this just helps to keep the skin healthy and helps prevent it from scarring. But if you've already kind of picked at the acne and gone out into the sun, causing the skin cells to scar, one of the first things that you can do is use...this is an acne body wash, and it's also exfoliating. It has a little bit of a graininess to it. So you can take this, and this is going to exfoliate. It also has salicylic acid in it, which is a beta hydroxy, so it's going to help to get rid of any of those dead, damaged skin cells and bring healthier skin cells to the surface. And then you can follow up with a post-acne lightening gel. This has a two percent hydroquinone in it, which is a lightening agent, so this is going to actually help to break up any discolorations. You have to use it consistently for about four to...four to eight weeks twice a day on wherever you're affected by scarring and it'll help to lighten any hyperpigmentation, helps to lighten the scar, and it helps to soften the appearance. One thing you have to make sure that you do with this if you are using a hydroquinone is you need to make sure you follow up with a sunscreen and make sure you minimize your sun exposure. But by doing these things and keeping your body really nice and exfoliated and keeping your back really hydrated, you can help to prevent and reduce the look of back acne scars.
