Hi, I'm Kelli. I'm an aesthetician and makeup artist at Ulta Salon and Cosmetics, and I'm going to tell you how to choose the best colors for Asian skin tones. Typically, Asian skin tones are more golden-based, so when choosing a foundation, you want to choose something that has more of a yellow-golden base to it. And those can be either lighter, such as this one, or a little bit darker, such as that one. As far as moving into eyes, you can basically do almost any type of color on an Asian complexion because they typically have darker eyes and darker hair. So a lot of times, they look really great in brighter colors, such as greens or blues, or even a brighter blue. And because they don't have a lot of lid to work with, you can really kind of play up these colors with just using an eyeliner to kind of create a lid. So just to kind of demonstrate on her, just on the top, you could just do a thicker line of brighter color. Kind of thinner on the inner portion of the eye, and then make it real thick towards the outer corner. And you can just kind of lift it and wing it up a little bit. And that'll be a really quick, easy way you can bring a pop of color into your look. So those are some colors that are really good on Asian skin tones.
