I'm Ben from The Cell Phone Broker in San Jose California, and today I'm going to explain to you what a wireless hotspot is. A wireless hotspot can mean two different things. It either means you can access the internet wirelessly on your computer, or you can access the internet wirelessly on your cell phone. So, let's say you have a cell phone that is WiFi enabled--WiFi means wireless connectivity to a wireless network besides the one that the phone comes from-- you have a wireless phone that has WiFi on it, and you go into the airport and you decide that you want to get on the internet, and you want the fastest data speed that's available. What you can do is you connect to a wireless network, a wireless WiFi network, and from there access the internet. Also, some companies allow you to have a special router in your home, and when you walk through the door at your house, the phone will automatically connect to this wireless network, and then you'll have boosted cellular coverage, so that... you know, sometimes your cell phone doesn't have good coverage in your home, this wireless router will enable you to have that. So I'm Ben from The Cell Phone Broker, and that's what wireless hotspots are.
