Find out how to toilet train a toddler, and get tips on dealing with temper tantrums. Get a child to sleep throughout the night by establishing a nightly routine, and find out how to keep toddlers entertained throughout the day. Video Transcript

"Hello, I'm Dr. Deborah Wheeler. I'm the vice president of academic affairs at the Argosy University, Salt Lake campus. I'm also a clinical psychologist and the topic today is how to prevent bed wetting. This can be a challenging topic for both the parents and for the children since they are the ones that are experiencing this, particularly for older children. Young children of course are going to make sure that they don't have a lot of liquids before they go to bed, you'll also make sure they visit the bathroom before it's bedtime. But you also want to make sure that for older children if this is a continuing problem that you understand that it's a physiological problem. This is not something that they're necessarily doing on purpose. So you might have to find ways to deal with that until they're older and until their bladders have developed. You'll need to make sure that you buy a mattress pad for those children and you also want to purchase those pull on diapers for the older kids as well. Rather than pointing out their flaws or making them feel badly about something they have no control over, just make sure that you buy the right supplies so that they don't have to feel badly about something they don't have control over. Please feel free to contact us for these kinds of tips and other parenting issues at our website argosy.edu."
