"Hi, I'm Sue in West Jordan. Today, we're going to be taking out some mildew stains out of a shirt. The first thing I do is I take it outside, on a nice sunny day, and I brush the mildew spores, so that they fall outside, and not in your home. And then I probably let the article dry outside, in the warm sun. When that happens, I would bring it inside, and pretreat it, maybe with a good old fashion just pretreater. Spray it, wash it, launder it, and hang it up. Make sure the water is really hot. If the fabric will take the warm water, but be careful because a lot of things will shrink. But things like your towels and things, you can put in hot water. You can even take an article of clothing and you can put it in boiling water. I recommend doing it with the towels. Boiling it for a while, and then taking it, and going ahead and putting it in your wash machine, and go ahead and wash it as normal."
