"Hi, I'm Mark Govan with ABC Pest Control in Largo, Florida. And you know something people don't ask me very often is how to buy ants. Normally they want me to get rid of the ants for them. But if you're a; if you're in a science class or maybe you want to start a little ant farm at your home, well there's a lot of good places online that you can go to purchase different types of ant colonies and ant supplies. After you order your ants online and you get the shipment to your home don't think those ants are going to run all over the place because they're not. Most of the ants are going to come in a sealed container and you'll have to make a specialty notch into the new ant farm to actually activate the ants into the medium where they're going to be doing most of their work. After that all you have to do is watch those ants grow and you're going to have a lot of fun watching them burrow threw either the gel or if you have a traditional ant farm they'll see them burrowing and making their little tunnels right threw the material that they've given you for it.
