Hi friends, Mark Govan here with ABC Pest Control in Largo, Florida. And I get questioned all the time about what do ants eat. Well, they're just like us, so they're going to eat everything that we eat. If the ants are inside the home, and you happen to of had a nice lunch, and spilled the snack on the floor, well that's okay, because they're going to go ahead and eat whatever you leave behind. Ants don't mind. They will find a way to make do with what you leave behind. Now on the outside of the house, if your trees, or shrubs have insects on them, insects feed upon your plants, and produce a honey dew. Honey dew is a very sweet, sticky substance that the ants love to feed on. In fact, they will move insects from plant, to plant, around your home. And what they'll do that for is so that they'll feed on the new growth, and then again produce this honey dew, which they will go ahead and feed on. Well, if you do have these ants in the house, or you have them outside the house, you got to find out what type of ant they are, so that you can have the best way to go ahead and get rid of them. One of those ways is by hiring maybe a professional to come in and take a look at what those ant problems are. Remember I'm Mark Govan with ABC Pest Control in Largo, Florida. And we want to keep your home pest free.
