Hi friends, I'm Mark Govan with ABC Pest Control and a question that's asked all the time is how do you get rid of fleas in the yard? Well one of the best ways to get rid of fleas in the yard is by treating those areas that your pet frequents. Now if you have a favorite spot, maybe even a doghouse where your pet happens to rest at a regular basis or a dog runner or an area that the dog tends to be on a regular basis, you want to go ahead and treat those areas with a good exterior insecticide and one of the products that you can use is Talstar. T A L S T A R, Talstar is a good product to use. Now the active ingredient in Talstar is bifenthrin so you may find it under another name at the local garden center. But by treating that yard, treating outside your bushes, your shrubs, your trees, areas where the pet frequents, you go ahead and treat that, you want to do that every two months to keep that life cycle down on the flea. That will help keep fleas out of your yard and stop them from getting into your home. Another good way is to go ahead and have your pets treated on a regular basis either by a veterinarian or by products used that your veterinarian may recommend for you. I'm Mark Govan with ABC Pest Control in Largo, Florida hoping to keep you and your yard pest free.
