"Hi friends, I'm Mark Govan here with ABC Pest Control in Largo, Florida. Well what causes fleas to invade your home? Well remember, fleas need a food source to live on so the reason they're coming by and coming into your home is because you probably have a pet, probably a dog or a cat or maybe some other animal that is living nearby and the fleas will actually hitchhike on these things and they'll get caught up inside your home. Now where do we notice them? We notice them when we're in the same environment as your pet and the flea says hey, I need a blood meal and he wants to feed, he'll attack your legs or he'll attack your pet the same way. So that's how fleas get into the home. So why do they want to come into the home and feed again? They want to feed on either yourself or your pet. Those are the main reason fleas come into the home. Now if you want to get rid of those fleas, the best way to get rid of the fleas is by vacuuming your rugs and cleaning out the linen on a regular basis and then making sure that your pets are properly treated by your veterinarian on a regular basis. These are very easy ways for you to help control those fleas if they do and when they do get inside your home. I'm Mark Govan with ABC Pest Control located in Largo, Florida helping to keep you pest free."
