"An ascot, they're funny looking things, but they have become more and more popular now days. They're generally used instead of using a tie. You wear it sticking out of your shirt, and it adds a little bit more of a finished look instead of wearing a tie. Tying an ascot: you start with one side longer than the other. Criss-cross it, wrap it around, and it goes up right over the front. You widen it out, and then tuck it under your shirt. Once you get it tied, you adjust your shirt, and that's an ascot. A lot of people are wearing ascots now with jeans, and vests, and blazers. You're not seeing them in the workplace as much as you do a tie. Um, they're a lot more informal, and kind of more a fashion piece right now."
