"Ok, how to tie a half Windsor knot. A half Windsor ends up being a little bit asymmetrical, the knot is a bit bigger than a four in hand, but not quite as big as a full Windsor, and you'll see when we demonstrate. So, to tie a half Windsor you want the short end to be at about your fourth or fifth button, not counting the neck. So about there, almost to your bellybutton. To tighten it you just pull down, and then you start to shape your knot. And that's your half Windsor."
